Ustreamとは、簡単に言えばインターネット上での動画共有サービスです。YouTubeとの大きな違いはライブストリーミングを基本としているということでしょう。
このUstreamで講義の手法は大きく変わると川崎先生は仰っています。
インターネットの繋がっているところならどこでも見れる。講義室の制限を超えた学生の聴講を可能にするし、Ustream上画面右側のソーシャルストリームを使えば質問や反論などのアクションもできる。
これまでもサテライト講義とかいって、別会場で行われている講義を受けることは出来ましたが、1対1もしくは1対2くらいが限度でした。
一方でUstreamでは比較にならない程大きなフィールドをインターネット上に形成できる。しかもインタラクティブに。
Ustreamでは他にTV番組のような放送も数多くあります。これらの番組はインタラクティブではありますが、編集がないのでグダグダな部分が多い。ラジオに近い感じ。だから、まだこれらの分野に関してはTVの方が優秀だと思う。（キチンと編集された場合だけれど。。）
けれど、Ustreamで講義は変わります。
その変化についてどう感じたか。意見をもらえればありがたいです。

Ustream is a website which consists of a network of diverse channels providing a platform for lifecasting and live video streaming of events online.
Prof.Kawasaki predict that university’s lecture will be changed by Ustream.
We can see it everywhere by Ustream if we have internet connection. It isn’t restricted by the largeness of the room. Moreover it is interactive tool. It has overcome satellite lecture because it can make more big communication field on Internet.
I don’t think channels like TV show on Ustream are better than real TV show, because they are not edited. However, lecture will be changed by Ustream.
