I think true products also can have their own aura. I guess it depends on my experience but this experience might depend on Japanese specific animism. Sometimes I can understand aura from photo of products, and also sometimes I feel it after I touch products.
For example, a paper knife designed by my professor, the name is “Fluctus”. It has something. Its form is very simple, from top view it is traversable. I don’t know why this simple form has aura. I can’t express with my words, but at any rate, it has. This is interesting point of design.
