Today and Yesterday I had a workshop about UX.  It’s exciting and interesting to discuss and make something with new people. This time the subject was to make a new UX with LEGO mindstorm.

There are many workshop in KAIST, I heard and I have participated three workshops already. It’s really nice for students, but I don’t know about Osaka university’s workshop, I’ve spent long time there though.

I think the difference is student’s independence and willingness, Osaka university students are not good at discussing with others and expressing their opinion, I guess so they don’t want to participate workshop and there are little workshop. However, recently many classes adopt workshop style there, so situation will be changed I hope.

昨日今日とUXワークショップに参加しました。初めて会う人と議論しモノを創るというのは刺激的で楽しいものです。今回はプロトタイピングにレゴマインドストームを使い、新しいUXを提供するという課題でした。

KAISTには学生向けに多くのワークショップがあります。すでに私は３つのワークショップに参加しました。大阪では長い間住んでいるのにも関わらずほとんどワークショップの存在を知らなかったのに。

二つの大学の違いは独立心と向上心だと思います。経験則から阪大の学生はディスカッションや意見を述べることが結構苦手です。他人とのワークショップというのには参加したがらないのもそのせいだと考えています。そして、参加する人がいないのでワークショップも開催されない。しかしながら、最近は授業でワークショップ形式を取り入れる授業も増えてきました。状況が改善することを祈っています。
