おとといの7月13日から国立国際美術館で横尾忠則さんのポスター展が開催されています。横尾さんの作品は川崎先生が美大に進むきっかけにもなったそうで、僕も興味があります。
全ポスターって言い切ってしまうのもスゴいと思うのですが、よりスゴいと思うのはその作品。
なんじゃこれ！と。
もう書いてあるものの意味が全然分からんかったりするわけです。なんなら小さな文字はほとんど読めませんし、大きな文字も色が重なって見え難いし。
ただなんかしらのエネルギーがあることは分かるんです。独特の妖しい雰囲気は一目でそれが横尾作品と分かる。そこが、スゴいなと。
全く知らない作品でもあの人のだと分かる。
いいデザインのいいデザインたるひとつの要素だと思います。
自分がそれを実行できるのか。日々自問しながら生きなければならないと考えています。
The Complete Posters of Tadanori Yokoo is in the National Museum of Art, Osaka. His works affected my Professor at that time, so I’m interested in it too.
I think it is good thing to collect all posters made by him, but their quality are better than it.
I feel they are so impressive.
His works have some weak points. In fact, I can’t read small letters for their smallness and big letters for their coloring. However, I feel their energy. I can recognize that his work is his work by a glimpse of it.
To understand the author of a work which someone doesn’t know at all.
It is one essence for good design.
Can I do it? I must live with this question.
