I said that in order to change health behavior, we need to recognize its dangerousness. However, there are many factors to recognize it, for example, timing is the one factor to recognize dangerousness of smoking. If you see an image that tells harmfulness of smoking when you try to smoke, what do you feel? I guess it can make a chance to hang back. Therefore, in Europe that kinds of threatening images are on cigarette box. In every country, warning statement is box distinctly at least.
Thinking of the other, there are many chances to persuade people who is doing harmful act to their health. 
As you know, it’s one of our lab’s main theme. We want to make progress on medical field by  using photonics technology. Photon has lots of excellent features for medical. X-ray is the most understandable example, it is used for image diagnosis all over the world.
Rontgen had changed the world at all by finding the existence of X-ray. Many years passed after he found it, still we feel uncomfortableness when we have an X-ray examination. Bend broken arms, keep it unmoved, they are a little bit hard for patience. It could be small thing for healthy people but for others it could be big thing. We have to appreciate ancestor’s achievements, but still our society keep on developing. I want to make any small progress even if it is very small.
Perhaps I said before, cabled products will disappear and be replaced by no cable products at all. That’s because everyone hate cable that restrict our move, doesn’t it?
By the way, Photonics products are all no cable products that enable us to move freely. That’s defined by Prof.Kawata, a famous photonics scientist. Past products are on cable, maybe you can understand if you step outside your door. Complicated electric cables must jam up your sky. On the other hand photonics products are no cable. They don’t need cable because they can communicate by optical networking with each other. However, battery problem must come up.

It was the first time for me to join a reunion event of elementary school. I couldn’t talk with others aggressively because I didn’t have any clue to start talking except “What are you doing now?”, but it also couldn’t make conversation long. I guess the reason I couldn’t talk nicely with them is lack of sharing time. We shared 6 years experience each other but it might be too old.
On the other hand, I shared long time with junior high school friends. Thanks to regular organizer, we gather together annually to talk about our future. Even if they are just blue-collor worker, they are dreamer and holding a spirit of willingness. Therefore, I can talk with them like a sparring.
I found that talking about future or dream is interesting and talking about past is nostalgic but not interesting. I have to fill my time to talk about my future with dreamer people.
I had two reunion event in a day on this weekend. It was a little bit hard but interesting experience than I expected. One is the reunion of elementary school and the other is reunion of junior high school, interesting points were similarity and difference of them.
Similarity was that almost of participants are blue-collor workers, so basically they can’t understand what I’m doing everyday and vice versa. If it was reunion of high school, it would never happen. STOP smoking ad

I guess you have seen this kind of picture in your life. It directly shows dangerousness of smoking. People seem to be able to understand easily that smoking is harmful to our health if they see this picture.
There are many other public advertising to persuade people to stop smoking, and there are more designed public ad but I chose this because it is really direct not implying. In case of Health belief model, threat of diseases is important factor. If people understand dangerousness of smoking and after that people feel threat of diseases caused by smoking, likelihood that people take some action to avoid that disease will get high. Precise Health belief model has other factors, but the most important factor is threat of diseases. If it’s not existing, people never change their behavior more healthier.
What is the key to change one angular degree in our lifestyle? There are many options, we can choose any options matching with us. But the most important things is motivation. We can’t take action without any motivation.
Then, how to motivate people to take action? Saying wildly, in case of health, if people feel some fear or horror about some diseases that they’ll get when they don’t do any action to avoid them, people take action to avoid them. The fear must be motivation to take action.
This psychological state was shown in “Health Belief Model”. This model is a little bit complicated and other factors.
How to change daily lifestyle? In my opinion, it depends on only individual’s strong will. I think this blog is one of my habit but it needs very strong will. Someone said keeping of writing a blog post everyday depends on individual’s numbers of drawers, I don’t think so. I think that merely he doesn’t have any patience.
However, having a strong will is difficult. Whoever can keep strong will always? If it came, people would be star children. But from different view point, it may be easy. It means that making big deal everyday is too hard to conduct but we can make slight difference from everyday’s life. In case of angle, if you can change one angular degree and keep it, at the first you can’t understand its difference but after long the difference will become big. This way is one way to change daily lifestyle, especially dieting.
Diabetes disease usually forms a hotbed of obesity. Actually obesity is one of dangerous situation. Obesity is the risk factor of heart disease and cerebral stroke directly. These two diseases are three major causes of death in Japan. The first cause of death in Japan is, as you know, cancer. Obesity is said to be the risk factor of cancer.
However, some people can’t stop becoming fat, I think it’s because it depends on their daily lifestyle as I said on other articles. To change daily things is really difficult, if it’s not there are no diet books in the world. It’s similar to writing a blog post everyday. Writing one post is not difficult but if it accumulate it must be difficult.
I’m estimating that there are more fat people than now in the future, because foods get delicious and oily, and societies get matured so people don’t need to be worried about their foods. I heard that low-income class people are fatter than high income class people in US. It’s clearly thanks to the vast fast food industry.
Therefore, we need a method not to get fat, because I think everyone wants to be smart. (in Japanese smart means slim, I think it shows something.)

Diabetes disease affects not only individual’s health but also national finance.
There are a lot of diabetic patients, the number of patients is around 2.5 million people, general estimate is over 8 million. Most of them have already become over 60, so they don’t need to spend 90% of their healthcare cost in Japanese law.
I don’t want to criticize Japanese policy about social security at all, I respect it rather than that. However, in current situation it need to be modified.
Diabetes disease has two major types. Type-2 cost a lot, if patients start to take artificial dialysis, the cost increases extremely. All cost of social security covered by people’s tax. I think it’s the most difficult problem for us.
