I guess that almost young Japanese know the name of the Yasukuni shrine but they don’t deeply understand its background and essence of problem, maybe me neither. However, now I think it is very important for us to consider this shrine that is one of the postwar twist.
In short words, there is only one problem in the Yasukuni shrine. That is “Why class A war criminals are enshrined?” It’s like that Adolf Hitler are enshrined in German. It is clearly impropriety and prevent normal veneration of ancestors from us. It is another problem that Judgement is fair or unfair. Although separately enshrining seem to be natural thing, it have never been done. Current my conclusion is that it is caused by mealy-mouthed attitude of most Japanese as well as enormous political power. Therefore, I have to state my opinion.

Recently, Professor Kawasaki writes interesting, exciting, and challenging articles that is titled “Kami no Kuni” on his blog. I think that all Japanese especially young Japanese need to read this blog, because this blog cut to what has been considered as taboo. Although he proclaimed he was a right wing, it doesn’t matter that you are a right wing or left a wing or not. We are requested to think and study deeply Japanese postwar history and economics and to have and advocate each own opinion about it after reading this blog, therefore, I will try it on this blog though my knowledge and experience are very lower than his. It is important for me to have and advocate my own thought.

Presentation

Today, I had a presentation of Prof. Kawasaki’s class.

However, I couldn’t finish what I had wanted to make, so I gave a presentation with incomplete product. I guess, you can obviously figure out that my presentation was bad, and in fact my presentation couldn’t convey the message to audience.
My teacher said “To make a product is to see yourself on a mirror.” It means, my facade is a man who can not keep to time. Looking back on my these days, unfortunately it is correct. I couldn’t be punctual to an private appointment with my friend recently, so at first, I will fix up these habits and change my life little by little.
Besides above story, I was asked to gave a presentation in English on this class by professor, so I tried to speak English, it was too bad. I have to study English more hard.
P.S. Now I want to tackle this assignment and accomplish, although the presentation was over. Therefore, I will show you the product if I can make it. Please check this out!

The Power of A

A has a special power. A is always put the top of the alphabet crowd. This fact is very meaningful in this Internet ages which a text searching method is widely spread. I think that why a text searching method is very spread is very easy, alternative methods are not more effective than it, but it is very difficult why A, what is A? English is not my mother language, therefore I feel these questions are more difficult, however I know A is also the top of the romaji, it means A is also top of the Hiragana. The root cause that A has special power like that is very difficult, so I’ll keep consideration of it on this blog with continuos studying.

At the end of this article, I tell the story that was taught by my professor.
In an competition, the judge who had no time and were very very busy, at first chose a only one part of ideas whose names were started with A from unduly large stack of ideas. Besides it, he chose the best idea in another 5 minutes from one part of ideas. This story taught me natural answer that the winnable idea must have lucky as well as distinct character.

It is only this lecture that you can study design at OSAKA University and that you can listen “Beat it! by Michael Jackson” during lecture.^^ If you take it, you can completely realize how high its level is. We , the students make a contribute to this class by preparing the lecture. We are learning the skill to handle audio and video equipments.

フリージャーナリストの井上久男さんのお話を聞いてきました。

ジャーナリストの仕事とは、ファクトを得る事、そのファクトを社会に訴える事だそうです。
話を聞いて納得した上に、この仕事はサイエンティストと全く変わらないと思いました。
ジャーナリストは足を使って社会的なファクトを追う、サイエンティストは実験を繰り返して科学的なファクトを追う。
ここで、デザイナーは美しさ、望ましさと言ったファクトを追うのだろうと考えています。
プロの話を聞くのは、非常に参考になるし、一般性もありためになると思っています。

Something New

何か新しいモノ、新しいコトをつくることをしたい、と思っています。

その何かをつくる前にいろいろ調べます。例えば、新しい車をつくるのであれば、現在売れている車とか、道路交通法とか、そういう事です。
で、調べていくうちにどんどん古い概念に捕われて、結局その辺にあるモノと似たようなモノが出来上がってしまう。
新しいと思ったアイディアは、思いついたその時は新しいと感じても、誰かに言われて冷静に考えてみると全然新しくなかったり。
本当に本質的に新しいモノなんてあるのかな。
そう考える思考の筋道、これを新しくしないとダメですね。

とよく耳にしますが、一度も調べたことがありません。

いや、一度だけあったな。ライフカードのCMで。
あれは面白かった。
全部見た友達に、「え、まだ見てないん。」と言われて仕方なく見て、オモロいやんけと。
インターネットって世界中の誰とでもいつでも、コミュニケーションを取れるというのが素晴らしい点。実際今日も、何時間も時差のあるアメリカ東海岸からポストされたチャットをリアルタイムで見てました。
でも、実は世界中を繋ぐことよりずっとローカルなコミュニケーションの媒体になってるとふと思いました。
mixiなんてその典型。
結局は、コミュニケーションにおいて何が重要であるかを掴まなければ、いいwebサイトは作れないんだと思います。
難しいわ。

上から下、左から右

人間の目は上から下、左から右に動いているそうです。そうやってWebデザインの本に書いてありました。

だから上や左に重要なモノを持ってこいと。
これを読むと、おおそうかつってメニューとかを上や左に持って行ってた。
ただこれって、欧米系の言語が左から右へ書いていくからであって、人間が本能的にそう見ているのではない。要は慣れのレベルでそうやって認識しているんだと、今更ながらに気付きました。
そう考えると上から下というのは文字ではなく（右から左に書いていく言語は聞いたことあるけど下から上に書いていく言語は聞いたこと無い）、重力に関係しているんじゃないかと。
左と右は振り向けば簡単に入れ替わるけど、上と下は寝転んでも変わらない、逆立ちするくらいでしか入れ替わらない。
